Take a thoughtful look at one of the most significant events of the twentieth century. We will explore the history of the Vietnam War beginning with the roots of Vietnamese resistance to French colonialism through the end of the US involvement and the war’s legacy. Participants will analyze the decisions that shaped it - military strategy, political decision making, and perspectives of soldiers and civilians on all sides of the conflict. Through multiple perspectives, we'll examine how the war continues to influence history, politics, and public memory.
